2020/2021 Paul G. Complin Memorial Scholarship

Value: $2000 each

Criteria:
The Paul G. Complin Memorial Scholarships will be awarded to three (3) students at Ontario’s university programs who are pursuing programs related to engineering or the sciences. The scholarship fosters the furtherance of studies relating to the environment and sustainability, by striving to encourage young leaders to enter the environmental field and to stimulate professionalism. Therefore, the applicant must demonstrate the relationship between their field of study and the environment, or must be pursuing environmentally related post-secondary studies. Students fulfilling these criteria are encouraged to apply.
Application and Awards Process:
To apply for the Paul G. Complin Memorial Scholarship, please fill out the application form (click here) and send the form, plus the requested supporting documents outlined in the application, to the A&WMA (scholarships@awma.on.ca). Failure to supply all the requested information may result in applications being rejected.
The deadline to apply for this Scholarship Award is February 28, 2021.
A panel from the AWMA Ontario Section Board will review and evaluate all the submissions. The finalists will be invited to deliver a 15-minute live video presentation on their research or course-work at an online event in spring 2021 (date TBD) and become Student Members of the A&WMA (if they have not already joined the association), at which time the three winners will be selected. The A&WMA Board will cover travel costs for students to attend this event.
The Scholarship finalists will be contacted by March 31, 2021.
